“We are all butterflies. Earth is our chrysalis.” ― LeeAnn Taylor

“I wanted to say something to make her pain go away and make everything better. But, I realized that there was no answer. Bad things happen to good people. Rain always falls on the people who deserve nothing less than the sun.”

― Mackenzie Herbert, Chasing Trains

“Do not cringe and make yourself small if you are called the black sheep, the maverick, the lone wolf. Those with slow seeing say a nonconformist is a blight on society. But it has been proven over the centuries, that being different means standing at the edge, means one is practically guaranteed to make an original contribution, a useful and stunning contribution to her culture. When seeking guidance, don’t ever listen to the tiny-hearted. Be kind to them, heap them with blessings, cajole them, but do not follow their advice. If you have ever been called defiant, incorrigible, forward, cunning, insurgent, unruly, rebellious, you’re on the right track. Wild Woman is close by. If you have never been called these things, there is yet time.” ~ Clarissa Pinkola Estes

“It was growing late, and though one might stand on the brink of a deep chasm of disaster, one was still obliged to dress for dinner.” ― Georgette Heyer

“I give permission to activate the energies that need to be activated in my life, to accomplish the purposes I came for. I want to have joy in my life and to find the joy in my full Akash, for I deserve it and I’ve earned it. I’ve had positive, joyful lives, so I want to pull on that energy.”

Kryon

Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing. Denis Waitley

 "I opened my eyes

And looked up at the rain.
And it dripped in my head
And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.
I step very softly,
I walk very slow,
I can’t do a handstand-
I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said-
I’m just not the same since there’s rain in my head.”

― Shel Silverstein, Where the Sidewalk Ends

The man understood me. The woman wanted to be cheap. But the man saw I was right.

Bitch - Before it became a naughty word in Christian Europe, "bitch" was a sacred title of the Goddess Artemis/Diana. The Old English word for a hunting dog, "bawd", also became a curse because it referred to the Huntress's priestesses as well as her dogs.

Christians viewed the phrase "son of a bitch" as insulting, not because it meant a dog, but a devil - the spiritual son of the Goddess.

When I, on occasion, am called a bitch, I respond by saying:

"Thank you. And by the way, I may be a bitch, but I'm not your bitch."
