If only I could see into the future. If I am meant to be alone I can adjust. If someone is coming I can prepare.

 DEAR March, come in!

How glad I am!
I looked for you before.
Put down your hat—
You must have walked— 5
How out of breath you are!
Dear March, how are you?
And the rest?
Did you leave Nature well?
Oh, March, come right upstairs with me, 10
I have so much to tell!

Oddly I am content and okay today.

“I used to try to decide which was the worst month of the year. In the winter I would choose February. I had it figured out that the reason God made February short a few days was because he knew that by the time people came to the end of it they would die if they had to stand one more blasted day.”

― Katherine Paterson, Jacob Have I Loved

"The compass knows not which way to go,
And Life's submerged in winter's snow,
The path before us fit for sleds,
Dusted with a blizzard's web.

Clear a path and the light the way,
And get us through to break of day,
Step through the ice-encrusted door,
That shows the way to the dawn thaw.

Stay too long in the hibernal realm,
And the chill begins to overwhelm,
Sit, rest, and take respite,
And become at one with fading light.

See The Winter King and then bow down,
With frostbite smile and holly crown,
Icicle sceptre makes the heartbeat slow,
Lonely as the North wind blows."

“Like any normal fifth grader, I preferred my villains to be evil and stay that way, to act like Dracula rather than Frankenstein's monster, who ruined everything by handing that peasant girl a flower. He sort of made up for it by drowning her a few minutes later, but, still, you couldn't look at him the same way again.”

― David Sedaris, When You Are Engulfed in Flames
