MRI Result

Study Result

Impression

Normal MRI of the brain on this noncontrast examination with mild motion degradation.

Negative IAC pathology on this noncontrast examination.

Workstation performed: PASI19034

Narrative

MRI BRAIN AND IAC'S - WITHOUT CONTRAST

INDICATION: G45.0: Vertebro-basilar artery syndrome
R42: Dizziness and giddiness
G43.109: Migraine with aura, not intractable, without status migrainosus
H53.9: Unspecified visual disturbance.

COMPARISON: Same-day MRA head without contrast.

TECHNIQUE:
Multiplanar, multisequence imaging of the brain and IAC's was performed without gadolinium administration.
Targeted images of the IAC'S were performed requiring additional time at acquisition and interpretation of approximately 25%

IMAGE QUALITY: Diagnostic. Mild motion degradation is present.

FINDINGS:

BRAIN PARENCHYMA: There is no discrete mass, mass effect or midline shift. Brainstem and cerebellum demonstrate normal signal. There is no intracranial hemorrhage. There is no evidence of acute infarction and diffusion imaging is unremarkable. There
are no white matter changes in the cerebral hemispheres.

IAC'S: No cerebellopontine angle mass or internal auditory canal lesion on this noncontrast exam. Normal aeration of the mastoid air cells and middle ear cavity. Limited evaluation without contrast enhancement.

VENTRICLES: Normal for the patient's age.

SELLA AND PITUITARY GLAND: Normal.

ORBITS: Normal.

PARANASAL SINUSES: Normal.

VASCULATURE: Evaluation of the major intracranial vasculature demonstrates appropriate flow voids. Please see same day MRA head without contrast for further evaluation.

CALVARIUM AND SKULL BASE: Normal.

EXTRACRANIAL SOFT TISSUES: Partially imaged airway device.
